There are about 300,000 communications towers in the United States. The DWS electric utility, transmission lines, and power line inspections use high-resolution digital and infrared cameras to detect and document our customers’ concerns. This includes both Safe Zone Areas and Danger Zone Areas near energized conductors. Safe Zone Inspections include:

• Rusty, missing, loose, or deformed structures
• Cracked, crumbling, missing, rusty, or uncovered foundations
• Faded, missing, or incorrect stenciling
• Peeling, scaling, or thin paint
• Erosion, drainage, or washed out areas

Danger Zone Inspections include:

• Rusty, loose, missing, deformed, or broken structures
• All hardware – clams, shackles, bolts, pins, dampers, arcing devices, spacers
• Rusty, chipped, broken, flashed, or misaligned Insulators
• Conductor / sub-conductor broken strands, sagging, or clearance
• Wire Shielding – sagging and broken strands

DWS operators can capture accurate aerial imagery and transform it into 2-D maps of 3-D models of specific sites. Our inspectors are able to capture great detail, including thermal images, with much less risk than conventional methods. For example, more than 12,000 utility line workers were injured or killed in 2015, making it one of the 10 most dangerous jobs in America. The Value proposition using DWS:
